Award-winning Nordic beverage company Arctic Blue Beverages is launching a premium licorice liqueur, Arctic Blue Laku, in collaboration with Finnish luxury licorice manufacturer Kouvola Lakritsi.
A collaboration agreed upon a few years ago has now become concrete. Arctic Blue Beverages and Kouvola Liquorice have teamed up to create Arctic Blue Laku – a smooth licorice liqueur that combines the authentic taste of sweet artisanal licorice with natural ingredients carefully selected from Finland's uniquely pure nature.
" At the beginning of our collaboration, we had an idea of making a good liquorice product, but no idea what exactly. After many experiments, we ended up with a liquorice liqueur and it turned out to be the most excellent product, unlike anything else on the market , " says Timo Nisula , liquorice manufacturer Kouvolan Lakritsi.
“When two of the world’s best craft brewers start collaborating, expect nothing but the best. Product development was not easy and at times it felt like we couldn’t find the right flavor combination. Finally, after numerous test batches, we locked in a combination we believed in and conducted consumer testing. The feedback was excellent and we are convinced that we have a winner on our hands ,” says Valtteri Eroma, CEO of Arctic Blue Beverages.
Arctic Blue Laku is part of Alko's standard range and is already widely available. Availability in other parts of the world will be gradually built up during 2023.
