The Licorice Factory's large auditorium is suitable for hosting larger events. The space also features a stage, with plenty of free floor space in front of it. This allows for the placement of 90 additional seats or, for example, dinner tables in the room.

Programme at the Liquorice Factory

  • A look inside the factory

    At the Salpausselänkatu factory, Kouvola Tourist Guides organize 45-minute tours. The tours cover liquorice production and the history of Kouvola Liquorice and liquorice in general. Production facilities are viewed from behind windows. Please note that production may not be running during your visit.

  • Champagne and licorice tasting

    Surprisingly, crisp champagne and soft Kouvolan Lakritsi make a perfect flavor combination. In a tasting led by licorice factory owner Timo Nisula, you'll also hear about the history of licorice. Also available as a wine tasting.

Our restaurant Ruokala 57's catering services can arrange catering for weddings, seminars, and cocktail events with years of experience. Our entire liquorice factory also has a liquor license.
