Kouvola Licorice and KooKoo will organize an exciting business seminar at Kouvola Licorice's new factory in Kouvola on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, featuring top speakers, with proceeds donated to charity. After diverse and inspiring speeches, the day will culminate with dinner and a KooKoo–HPK practice match at the VIP restaurant of Lumon Areena. The seminar's topics include management, sales, marketing and finance.
The proceeds from the seminar will be directed to the Pokli Ry scholarship fund, which supports the hobby of the underprivileged, and to Hope Ry, which helps underprivileged families in the area.

9:00–9:30 Timo Nisula, Kouvola's Licorice: Attitude is key
Licorice manufacturer Timo Nisula is the CEO of Kouvola Liquorice and a businessman involved in many things. Nisula, who purchased Kouvola Liquorice with his business partner in 2008, became the sole owner in 2014. Under Nisula's care, Kouvola Liquorice has grown rapidly and, for example, has been chosen as the world's best licorice manufacturer for three consecutive years (2020, 2021 and 2022).
9.30–10.30 Jukka Jalonen, Lions: Stairs to Success
Jukka Jalonen is best known as the head coach of the Finnish national ice hockey team. He has coached the Lions since 2018 and previously from 2008 to 2013. Three men's world championships and an Olympic victory make him the team's most successful head coach of all time.
10.30–11.15 Pippa Laukka, wellbeing doctor: Wellbeing is an act of love for oneself – others also benefit from it
Pippa Laukka is a sports medicine specialist who has become known to the entire nation as an expert and doctor in the series Olet mitta syöt (You Are What You Eat). She has also written books and columns on well-being for Helsingin Sanomat, among others, and has served as the long-term team doctor for the women's national football team Helmariet.

Veli-Pekka Ääri has served as Tokmanni's Marketing and Communications Director and a member of the Management Team since 2021. Previously, he has served as a Director and a member of the Management Team at SOK. He also has experience in advertising agencies, such as TBWA Helsinki, and as a Marketing Manager and Account Director at Elisa Corporation.

Reijo Heiskanen is OP Financial Group's Chief Economist. He has extensive experience as an economist in macroeconomics and financial markets. Heiskanen has served as OP Financial Group's Chief Economist since 2010.
15.20–15.50 Olli Salo & Pepe Jürgens: KooKoo news and background on the practice game
Olli Salo has coached professionally for 17 years in Austria, Germany and Finland. Since 2021, he has been the head coach of the Finnish Championship team KooKoo. Salo has previously coached at HPK and Ilves, among others. Salo also has his own playing career in the Finnish league.
Peter "Pepe" Jürgens is a sports journalist and commentator who has been doing various hosting jobs for over 20 years. He has worked for, among others, the Sport FM radio channel and hosted the Urheiluaamu program on the television channel Nelonen.

Venue
The Business Live seminar will be held at the new experiential factory of Kouvola's Lakritsi, which offers versatile facilities for organizing events. The factory is located in the center of Kouvola at Salpausselänkatu 57, 45100 Kouvola. The factory is a 10-minute walk from Kouvola train station. There is also plenty of free parking in the factory yard.
After 4:00 PM, the Kouvola Licorice Factory will move to KooKoo's home hall, Lumo Areena. Lumo Areena is located at Topinkuja 1, 45100 Kouvola. The distance from the licorice factory to the arena is approximately 900 meters on foot.
