Orange licorice cake is a wonderful mix of freshness and the wonderful taste of Kouvola Licorice. You won't be able to resist this!
Ingredients (15 servings)
Base
2 eggs
¾ dl sugar
¾ dl potato flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Humidification
½ dl milk
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
Filling
6 gelatin sheets
5 dl whipping cream
400 g orange cream cheese
1 dl sugar
½ orange grated peel
Squeezed juice of 1 orange
In addition
2 tetra Kouvola Licorice Licorice Sauce
Manufacturing
Break the eggs into a bowl and measure out the sugar. Whisk until fluffy.
Add the mixed dry ingredients and fold the dough until smooth.
Place baking paper on the bottom of a loose-bottomed pan with a diameter of approximately 24 cm and grease and flour the edges or cut a cover out of baking paper.
Pour the batter into the bottom of the pan and bake at 225 degrees for about 7–10 minutes.
Remove the baked base from the baking paper and place clean baking paper on the bottom of the pan.
Lift the cake base back into the pan.
Mix the milk and vanilla sugar together and moisten the base with it.
Soak the gelatin sheets in plenty of water.
Whip the cream and beat in the orange cream cheese and sugar.
Wash the orange well and grate the zest of half an orange and mix into the filling.
Squeeze the orange juice into a glass and heat to boiling, for example in the microwave.
Squeeze out excess liquid from the gelatin sheets and dissolve in the hot orange juice. Mix with a spoon.
Pour the broth into the filling and mix.
Divide the mixture into two parts and mix one tetra Kouvola Licorice Licorice Sauce.
Divide the fillings into the pan in layers and smooth the surface. Let set in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight.
Remove the cake from the pan and transfer to a serving platter.
Pour over the licorice sauce just before serving.
Garnish with Kouvola Liquorice if desired.
