The festive season is here! Small bites are the best party treats, because when there is plenty to offer, it is nice to be able to taste several varieties. Wind hats are also an easy party treat because you can prepare them in the freezer well in advance and fill them a few hours before serving. The velvety soft Kouvola Licorice Licorice Spread is a mouth-watering filling!
Ingredients (30–40 servings)
1 ½ dl water
75 g butter OR 75 g margarine (optional)
1 ¾ dl wheat flour
2 eggs

1 jar Kouvola Licorice Spread
Guide
- Put the water in a saucepan and add the butter or margarine.
- Place the pot on the stove and let it melt, stirring constantly.
- Add the wheat flour all at once and mix over high heat with a wooden fork until the mixture forms a ball. Turn off the heat and set the pot aside, let it cool for a while.
- Add the eggs one by one, beating well.
- Place the mixture in a piping bag and pipe small, even-sized balls onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes.
- Make a small slit in the buns and squeeze the licorice spread inside.
- Place the wind hats on a serving platter and drizzle Kouvola's Licorice sauce over the top if desired.
- Serve the licorice puffs as is or with ice cream.
