Cut the candy into small pieces with a knife or scissors and either put it whole into the cake batter or make tar stripes like a tiger cake. You can add a nice color to the cake by adding some of Kouvola's Liquorice Sauce !

Ingredients (16 servings)
250 g butter or margarine
2 dl sugar
3 eggs
3 ½ dl wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla sugar
1 dl Kouvola Liquorice Sauce
150 g Kouvola Liquorice Tar Flavored Candy
Guide
- Beat room temperature butter or margarine and sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one by one, beating well.
- Add the mixed dry ingredients and beat just until the dough is smooth.
- Take 1/3 of the dough into a separate bowl and mix in the licorice sauce.
- Cut the tar-flavored candy into small pieces and mix the candy into a smaller amount of dough.
- Place the dough in layers in a greased and floured 1.5-liter coffee cake pan and draw patterns up and down with a fork or knife.
- Bake at 150–175 degrees on the middle rack of the oven for about 50–60 minutes.
- Let cool for a moment, unmold and cut into pieces.
